I own a number of pistols including this one. It is far and away my favorite. First, it it's accuracy darn near perfect (1" at 15 yds; 4" at 25 yds) up to 25 yards with just the adjustable sight. The balance a feel of the gun is solid. It is reliable, I get a few jam every 100 or so rounds but most are due to the ammo. It is a bear to break down the first few times but once you learn the tricks you could easily do it in the dark. I fact I bought a 2nd Ruger 22lr with the bull barrel and it is a great gun as well.

This is my first Ruger and first 22 Pistol I shoot a 9MM but it was costing to muck so I thought I would try a 22, The Ruger was great, the first 10 rounds at 25 yds all hit in a oval 4 inchs wide and 5 inches tall, I was amazed My Wife tried it and she did real good now she wants one, I shop different guns and I''m Glad I got thr Mark III I used Ammo CCI Long PS I have only been tarket shooting 1 month.

CHRISTMAS GIFT. DURING THE NEXT 2 DAYS I LITERALY PUT AT LEAST 1700 RNDS. THRU THIS GUN. THE ONLY TIME IT FAILED TO PERFORM PERFECTLY WAS WHEN I DID NOT "SEAT" THE CLIP PROPERLY INTO THE HANDLE. I DID NOT EXPERIENCE ONE FAILED EJECTION OR MISFIRE OF ANY KIND. I DID NOT AT ANY TIME HAVE TO STOP AND CLEAN THIS PISTOL.I"LL DO THAT TONIGHT AND THEN I AM GOING TO MOUNT A LEUPOLD PISTOL SCOPE ALSO. 5 STARS AND COUNTING.

At my Gun Club we shoot golf balls, hanging from strings, at 50 yards with this pistol. I can run 2 or 3 thousand rounds through this pistol between teardown and cleaning without failure. I love it and my Mark II Competition pistol.
