Unlike the previous review, I do not find the front sight to be any problem. I checked mine and it is solid. I use a firm fitting Uncle Mike''s Holster. In holstering the weapon the front sight comes in contact with the front, flat, rigid, part of the holster first and then angles down for a straight vertical entrance. The front sight makes first contact with the holster always. Still, no problems with the front sight. I tried to dislodge it with my thumb and fore finger, but could not do so. Perhaps he got one with a problem on that front sight. Smith & Wesson or Walther would have been more than happy to repair it. I love the weapon, but it is what it is, a .22LR, mid-sized, handgun, and no more. The unmistaken quality and performance are apparent. The weapon functions and performs as it should without any issues. It is perfect for CC if one desires to use for that purpose. Light weight, smaller size, using CCI Stingers, makes it is a formidable CC weapon. It has proven to be dependable, solid, performing, and priced right. I would give this weapon a max. rating. Its been my experience that walther 22 is not only reliable but a great accurate gun. Also it is a comfortable gun to shoot for to a small handed person. Easy access to change clips and to put on the safety. There is a child proof safety done with a key if it happens to be out in the open. Great Idea... All and all it is fun and easy to shoot.

been handling and shooting for over 30 yrs, firearms instructor ,retired federal officer who has shot my share of different firearms, currently have ccw and usually carry a glock 27 with winchester ranger t series 165gr hp, also have a p22 that i load with cci stinger, sometimes carry this weapon as ccw and feel just as secure with it as my glock. dont let its small size and it being a .22 cal fool you it is a great little gun, have had no problems with it after about 1500 rounds.

I got the Walther P22 as my first handgun and I already know I am going to like it. I got it mainly for personal defense but this gun need a workout at the range. It is relative sized and weighed such that almost anyone can use it despite the size of your hand. It is great as a CC weapon because of itz compact size but still packs lots of power with my CCI rounds. I has lots of safety features that makes it safer around kids and simply curious folks. Over all I give 2 thumbs up to .22LR
