I''ll start by saying that Ruger''s P90 is an outstanding pistol for the money and they stand among the best .45 ACP''s available today. I''m an old-school, Viet Nam-era Vet and I know about the .45 ACP. I''ve owned mine for over 7 years and have shot thousands of various brands and types of ammo through it. I have never, ever had one mechanical failure or FTF, the truth! Sure, you can spend thousands of dollars on one of the ''exotic, high class'' makes of .45s. But I''ll bet my life that you won''t gain a nanogram of accuracy, reliability, and overall performance over a P90. In the right shooter''s hands, a P90 will hold its ownand for a whole lot less money ]the bottomline[. I made a very logical choice buying the P90, as I used the extra cash to stock up on lots of ammo to practice with. P90s are some of the most rugged, reliable, and accurate .45s on the market pure beasts that will digest it all. It may not be a pretty thing but it sure is good!!! If you are interested in buying a .45 caliber pistol, then look no further. The Ruger P90 is surely worth your hard earned money.

I have owned my P-90 for 10 years. This side arm WILL shoot flawlessly EVERY TIME! Right out of the box, just load, aim, shoot. Every gun owner wants to know that their weapon is going to fire when needed, and hit what it is pointed at when needed, this is as reliable as ANY side arm money can buy. Awesome for target/competition shooting, and the ONLY choice for personal protection. Any ammo, any time, is dispatched as best as it can be, at that point it's clearly up to the manufacturer or reloader to determine velocity etc.,etc. In 10 years, and thousands of rounds NOT ONE SINGLE MISFIRE OR "JAMMED" round of ammo NEVER! As far as concealment goes, not a problem any adult with any common sense can conceal a weapon, and keep it accessible. If you read this reveiw and buy another weapon, it's your MISTAKE to make! I have owned, carried, & shot many side arms for over 35years, there is no need to look for another choice. If "Joe Criminal" ever made a mistake, I know that my weapon will fire, and will hit where I choose! Now that is peace of mind. The only change I've made to my weapon is that I have opted for after-market rubber grips. They feel more comfortable and reassuring in my large hand, as opposed to the factory grips. This review is from years of experience and carrying this weapon, and is 100% true. Ruger side arms and especially the P-90 model will keep you alive if needed, and bring you pleasure in recreational shooting everytime you pull the trigger, you will know that you have made the correct choice in weaponry.

I have owned this gun for a little over two years, I still have yet to manage to get a misfire, using cheap, white box ball ammo, or JHP's...limp wristed, locked wrist, makes no difference. Gun will fire when you pull the trigger, every time.
Break down is simple, as is reassembly, accuracy is incredible, my best groups being just over 1.5" and I'm no marksman..in better hands this gun can hang with the best of them.
Its drawback is its thickness and weight. It's not designed for comfortable concealment, I manage, but it's not comfortable, and I'm a big guy. Its an excellent home defense pistol, and with upgraded sights and grip, not a bad tourny shooter either.
I love this gun.
