Just purchased the Ruger sr9c on 9 Feb 2011, purchased it over other good 9mm due to the fact it has a thumb safety that i like. Shot it today 16 Feb 2011 for the first time, fired 200 rds of various ammo including JHP''S, this gun never skipped a beat, no jams, stovepipes, no fte, or ftf. This is now my primary CCW with a great Fobus holster you cant go wrong. Shoots better than the Glock I carried before I retired. This gun comes with a 17rd and a 10 round mag, dont get any btter than that. Ruger did good with this one. Buy one and you will like it.

this was my first handgun purchase. I''m a newbie, but this gun is very very easy to learn and shoot. just took it out for the first time and loved it. it fits like a glove for people with small hands since it''s slim. but holds 17 rounds! if you hold it correctly and steady, there is almost no jump up. for such a small gun it is pretty accurate and every review you read on youtube, etc all give rave reviews of it. I first found it on a gun show on tv where they were reviewing the best overall handguns for self defense. ladies get this one before you go out at night in that poorly lit parking garage, but get some training first of course. one great feature on this gun is it has a small pop up bar on top of the gun that says right on it. ready to fire this is in addition to the regular safety. it''s a nice feature since if you are not sure that there could still be a round left in the chamber, this will tell you. that bar is up, it''s ready to fire period and you better pay attention. great little gun but with 9mm hollow points more than adequate for defense.
