This is an amazing pistol. And for the money there isn''''t much in its class. This 1911 really is a pleasure to shoot. Gun Source had it on sale for 868 with free shipping. What a steal!!! My local shop wanted 1028 plus 6 tax. 868 with free shipping, no sales tax and a 40 ffl charge and I was on my way! This was my first online gun purchase but won''''t be my last. Thanks again gun source!

I have been wanting a 1911 pistol and was ready to buy a Springfield TRP like one that my son has. Then I saw some favorable reviews for the Sig 1911''s and checked the internet for any good deals. I was very pleased when I found this one in stock at MHO for a very good price. I called to confirm with one of their helpful sales reps and ordered immediately. It was shipped the next day and I had it in my hands at my local FFL within a couple of day.
The Sig 1911 is a mostly traditional 1911 pistol with the distinctive Sig slide profile. The tacops model is stainless steel with a black nitron finish (which is reported to be ion-bond, very expensive from other manufacturers). Fit and finish of the pistol is perfect, as I was expecting from my other Sig pistols. I immediately field stripped it for a clean and lub. The internals all looked first quality, and the fit was very tight without being stiff. Slide to frame has virtually no movement but the slide racks like it is on ball bearings. The Novak night sights are another expensive option that is included on this model, and all 3 on my gun glowed bright and even.
If I have any criticism of this pistol it might be the thumb safety. It is ambidextrous, but both sides are a bit small especially for my large hands. This could be one part I might swap out someday in the future. Aside from that, this is a close to perfect 1911 especially at the great price I paid for it.
