I have had this gun since January of this year and was on the verge of selling it because it frequently failed to feed the second shot. I cleaned the gun and magazines and it still didn''t do any better. Finally, I talked with a real gun guy and he advised that I needed higher velocity ammo. I went from standard Winchester and Remington to the CCI Stinger and it did the trick: no misfeeds, more accuracy, etc... Now I love my P22. P.S. I am new to handguns and might have known about this sooner if I had previous experience with weapons.

I had this gun a couple months and I like it. Pretty accurate after I adjusted the rear sight a bit for windage. The Walther manual tells you to turn the sight screw the wrong way. Also, some guys complain that the gun is a pain to put together after you field strip but there is a little trick. Put the included guide rod on the end of the spring so it will not flop around when you install the slide. When installed, the temporary guide rod falls out the front - again the Walther manual does not tell you this. Also, this gun likes high velocity ammo. I tried American Eagle but it does not cycle right. No problem with CCI Mini-mag, Stinger and Velocitor. Last, the grip feels better in a medium sized hand than most guns. A fun and reliable little plinker... with the right ammo.

I purchased one of these 10/01/09. Fun little gun and surprisingly pretty accurate. Two of my friends also purchased one.
I had trouble with mine short cycling and the others didn''t. We were using federal ammo. I sent my pistol back to Smith & Wesson. They reviewed it and claimed it was ok. They shot cci mini mags through it. I found that Remington Gold hollow points worked well also. My point is these guns can be a little picky with ammo.
